Terms & Conditions

  1. Each entrant should submit one photograph in JPEG format of no more than 2 megabytes and a message to a maximum of 150 words stating why they running, along with their name, e-mail address, phone number and location. Messages should be the entrants own work. Entrants represent and warrant that their entry does not infringe the privacy rights, copyright or any other rights of any person. Obscene or inappropriate photographs/messages will not be accepted and NIFNL and Cancer Research UK reserve the right to reject any photographs/messages for any reason. If the photograph includes the entrant plus any other identifiable individual then prior to submitting such photograph entrants should obtain the consent of such person and advise them of the purpose of the submission and that their photograph may be published by News International Free Newspapers Limited (NIFNL) (including in thelondonpaper) and by Cancer Research UK. Entries must be submitted by uploading an image and text on thelondonpaper.com.
  2. Full names, location, photographs and message/may be published in thelondonpaper and online in thelondonpaper.com and/or at cancerresearchuk.org or and/or in Cancer Research UK publicity material (see clause 4).
  3. NIFNL will not be liable for any failure of receipt of race entries. NIFNL takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.
  4. NIFNL and Cancer Research UK reserve the right to publish all or parts of entries. NIFNL and Cancer Research UK reserve the right to edit entries in their discretion for publication. Entrants will retain copyright in their submitted entries; however, by entering, all Eligible Participants give NIFNL and Cancer Research UK a worldwide royalty free perpetual licence to edit, publish and use all or segments of each entry in any and all media (including print and online) for publicity and news purposes. In particular, all entrants license NIFNL the right to print their photo and message on thelondonpaper online and in print (thelondonpaper) and Cancer Research UK to publish their photo and message at cancerresearchuk.org and use in publicity material and Cancer Research UK publications.
  5. By entering a race via this form, entrants agree to the personal data they supply being used by NIFNL and Cancer Research UK (or their agents or contractors) for the purposes set out herein including to administer any races. NIFNL and Cancer Research UK may also use the information for direct marketing where the entrant has given consent.
  6. Uses of personal data received by NIFNL and Cancer Research UK in the course of the promotion are subject to the individual privacy policies - see NIFNL's privacy policy and Cancer Research UK's privacy policy.
